The Maison

Maison Emno is a seventeenth-century farmhouse on the terraces below Gordes, rebuilt stone by stone over four winters.

The courtyard, late afternoon
01 — The courtyard, late afternoon

We kept the vaulted cellar, the well in the courtyard and the three-hundred-year-old olive tree that shades breakfast. Everything else was made by hand in the valley: lime-washed walls, terracotta from Apt, linen woven in Lyon.

It is a small house by design. Eighteen rooms means we know your name by the second morning, and the pool is never crowded.

01

Of the valley

Solar-heated water, a kitchen garden, and suppliers we can drive to before the market closes.

02

Made by hand

Furniture from Luberon workshops, ceramics from Apt, and nothing that looks like it came from a catalogue.

03

Quiet on purpose

No televisions in the garden rooms, no music by the pool, and shutters that close properly.

Eighteen rooms, no two alike

Rooms & Suites

Lime-washed walls, terracotta floors, linen sheets and deep baths. Every room opens onto the garden, a terrace, or the valley.
